The
scrapbook of George
Burgess covers most of his working life from about the
1850's to the 1900's and consists of Victorian Newspaper cuttings, mostly
undated, and mostly from British newspapers (includes a few American
newspaper articles). For historical accuracy poor spelling and bad grammar
(and American spellings) in any article is faithfully reproduced in
the transcription.
